Personality[]
Iakona is happy and positive. He sees the world as a gigantic opportunity. On the other hand, if he sees injustice he can become angry and stubborn.
History[]
Iakona and his sister, Sirit, were born on islands held by the Darkspear. His parents were killed by in a Murlock raid when he and his younger sister were still very small. They were found by the villagers, who took them to an herbwoman that lived on the outside of the village.
Gram, as she was known by everyone, was a believer in the Light. She had been raised by humans as a slave, where she learned the religion. She had escaped with the aid of a priest who saw the slavery as wrong. This stregthened her devotion to the Light. She passed that devotion onto Iakona and Sirit.
When Thrall saved the Darkspear, Iakona, Gram, and Sirit travelled with them. They came upon a new shore and began exploring. Under Thrall and Vol'jin's leadership, they established a new life and time passed.
Years later, Iakona became possessed by a demon. How this occurred is not known. Through Iakona, the demon was able to kill several people, including Sirit and Gram. It did this in order to cause pain to Iakona. It then went after some of Iakona's friends, but was thwarted when they came together. The demon was banished and has not come again.
Since then, Iakona became a Tear, met the Troll of his dreams, and has continued to enjoy life. Ashaya has kept him busy with her research in the Nether. Recently, an influx of demons through the Dark Portal has brought Iakona back from his semi-retirement.
