Tellas is long and lean, like most Blood Elves, though he's now better-built than most of the nobility he used to be a part of. Although he lacks any unusual distinguishing marks his long hair and handsome face are often a source of teasing by the other members of the shipping company.

Tellas takes pride in his work and is all business. He has an open contempt for his race and despises living in Silvermoon. He is loyal to Krelle, accepting whatever challenges she sets before him - even the current plans which keep him mostly confined to the jewelery shop in Silvermoon.

Tellas was once a warlock named Ildreth Brightcrown, a member of the Silvermoon nobility, and completely focused on magical power. On a mission to the Outlands he was separated from his group by a fierce battle. He survived but was left drained of mana and almost powerless. He wandered the wastes for days as mana addiction ravaged his body. He came upon a small pond and when he knelt to drink, saw the reflection of what a pitiful creature he had become. He vowed to turn away from the use of magic. When he finally found his way home he disgraced himself in the eyes of his house by laying aside the trappings of noble life and his demonic arts, instead taking up the bow and setting out to make a new life for himself in the world. It was then that he took the name Tellas Nightwing, seeking to distance himself from his old life. Although he still suffers from the magic addiction that plagues his race, he controls it, rather than the other way around.
He found gainful employment with the Grey Tiger Shipping Company. Initially his employers were wary of the ex-warlock but he has since proven his loyalty and usefulness many times. He is currently stationed in Silvermoon, still training in the ways of the hunt and rarely without the companionship of one of his animals.
